• The Jensen LED RV TV with DVD Player part # JTV1917DVDC can be hard wired if you choose not to use the plug end. When doing this however you will be eliminating the fuse holder in the plug. With that said you need to add an in line fuse like the Spectro 14-Gauge ATO-ATC Fuse Holder part # SWC9538. With out this in place we can't recommend hard wiring.

• It sounds like you simply installed the switch, like part # LC301694, incorrectly. All you need to do is swap the wires that you have connected and it should work perfectly. I am not sure why you have a different color but that shouldn't matter especially if it is operating.
